Overview
We are seeking a hands-on AdTech Privacy Technical Analyst with extensive QA experience to ensure consent compliance across a range of consumer mobile applications and associated devices. The analyst will work closely with app teams to establish testing processes and verify compliance results, while utilizing key tools for network traffic analysis. This role demands collaboration with engineering and privacy stakeholders to improve consent mechanisms and reporting methods.
Responsibilities
- Test and assure that cookies and tracking technologies in mobile applications honour user consent preferences.
- Intercept and analyze network traffic using tools such as Proxyman, Charles Proxy, and Fiddler.
- Capture and audit HTTP Archive (HAR) logs for tracking calls and third-party endpoints.
- Define and document a repeatable self-testing process for app teams, providing guidance on HAR evidence generation.
- Review HAR logs submitted by teams and provide independent second line verification of results.
- Document findings, including risk ratings and recommended remediations, clearly and precisely.
- Collaborate with engineering squads and stakeholders to implement technical fixes and validate updates.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a technical analyst, QA, or auditor in AdTech/MarTech environments.
- Hands-on expertise in network interception and analysis using Proxyman, Charles Proxy, and Fiddler.
- Ability to capture, read, and audit HAR files and tracking payloads proficiently.
- Experience testing mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms, utilizing tools like Logcat and Xcode Console.
- Knowledge of CMPs, TCF, cookies, and mobile identifiers like IDFA and GAID.
- Understanding of GDPR, PECR, and ePrivacy standards relevant to digital marketing.
- Strong documentation skills and experience in communicating findings to stakeholders.
