Overview
We are seeking an Agile Project Manager to join a mid-sized organization focused on enhancing their Data & AI capabilities. This role requires a hands-on professional who can drive delivery, establish effective workflows, and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. The Agile Project Manager will work closely with a blended team of internal staff, contractors, and external vendors to ensure successful project outcomes in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Drive delivery cadence through planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retros tailored to a mixed team.
- Help transition AI use cases into continuous delivery by breaking down requirements into testable pieces.
- Oversee a foundational Databricks platform delivery program, ensuring progress and accountability.
- Optimize Jira workflows to enhance practical delivery effectiveness.
- Translate technical trade-offs for non-technical stakeholders and align external vendors with team goals.
- Embed governance, security, and testing into sprint cycles to ensure team self-sufficiency by contract end.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience as an Agile Project Manager or Delivery Lead in data, analytics, or AI projects.
- Solid understanding of Databricks or a similar cloud data lakehouse/Azure environment.
- Experience with Microsoft tools such as Power BI and Copilot.
- Background in mid-sized organizations or scale-ups, with a hands-on approach to delivery.
- Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams with a focus on collaboration.
- Strong communication skills to bridge technical and business perspectives clearly.
