Overview
As an Android Developer on a contract basis, you will join the mobile platform team working on a UK government app. This role focuses on developing and enhancing critical app components in Kotlin with Jetpack Compose, collaborating closely with other engineers while ensuring the overall stability and performance of the application.
Responsibilities
- Build and improve common parts of the Android app, such as login, using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Integrate features developed by other teams into the app.
- Conduct code reviews for personal code and peers' submissions.
- Monitor app performance through Crashlytics and address any issues.
- Collaborate with QA and backend engineers to manage technical risks.
- Participate in regular team discussions and contribute thoughts during code reviews.
Requirements
- Proven commercial experience in native Android development.
- Proficient in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Experience using Crashlytics for application stability.
- Ability to work efficiently in a small, fast-paced team environment.
- Strong communication skills for active participation in code reviews.
