Overview
As a Freelance Senior Product Designer, you will join a dynamic team focused on redefining fan engagement through innovative digital experiences across web and mobile platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Lead Designers and Product Managers, to shape the UI and UX for high-impact projects that engage millions of sports fans. Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end UI and UX design execution for major client initiatives across web and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to ensure design feasibility and a seamless handoff.
- Facilitate user journey mapping and design workshops for fan engagement features.
- Establish component-driven design systems in Figma, maintaining design standards and governance.
- Present design rationales and strategies to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
- Mentor midweight designers and champion a collaborative design culture within the delivery team.
- Ensure high-quality design outputs by managing your own deliverables and prioritizing effectively.
- Drive proactive collaboration across cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones.
Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial product design experience in agency, tech, or digital media environments.
- Proven portfolio showcasing complex product design and polished UI/UX for iOS, Android, and responsive web.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma, including prototyping and managing component libraries.
- In-depth understanding of user-centered design methodologies and information architecture.
- Experience working directly with engineering squads for design implementation and quality assurance.
- Strong presentation skills with a proven ability to communicate design strategies effectively.
- Comfortable leading design initiatives in an English-speaking environment.
- Familiarity with design tokens, CSS frameworks, or mobile design guidelines is a plus.
