Overview
We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to join our mobile platform team for a government app on a contract basis. The contractor will work predominantly remotely while collaborating closely with both QA and backend engineers to build and enhance core components of the app using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. This role will involve critical code reviews, troubleshooting, and ensuring stability and performance of the application post-release.
Responsibilities
- Build and improve common parts of the Android app using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Integrate features developed by other teams into the app.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback on peers' work.
- Monitor app performance with Crashlytics and address any stability issues.
- Collaborate with QA and backend engineers to identify and mitigate technical risks early in the development process.
- Prepare and deliver releases in coordination with the team.
- Manage version control and documentation of updates.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience in native Android development.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Experience with Crashlytics for app stability monitoring.
- Ability to work effectively in a small, agile team environment.
- Comfortable participating in code reviews and sharing insights.
