Overview
We are seeking a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer for a 6-month contract positioned within a leading financial institution's Technology & Infrastructure team. This role will involve close collaboration with platform leads, data teams, and software engineers to enhance and automate cloud infrastructure and CI/CD workflows. The successful candidate will primarily focus on automating Azure and Snowflake infrastructure while ensuring optimal performance and reliability across platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Azure and Snowflake infrastructure using Terraform and Bicep.
- Build, automate, and enhance deployment pipelines across GitHub and Azure DevOps.
- Implement Azure network topologies and secure private connectivity.
- Manage the Apache Airflow platform on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) for efficient deployment and monitoring.
- Support the release and continuous delivery of full-stack applications in collaboration with developers.
- Maintain hybrid identity workflows between on-premises Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Ensure environments are consistent, audited, and cost-efficient with proper documentation and monitoring.
Requirements
- Solid hands-on experience with Azure infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and Bicep.
- In-depth knowledge of Azure services and network architecture, including NSGs and Private Endpoints.
- Practical experience with Kubernetes/AKS and familiarity with Apache Airflow.
- Strong proficiency in GitHub and Azure DevOps, including pipelines and release automation.
- Good understanding of on-premises Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID synchronization.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-204) are desirable.
