Overview
We are seeking an AWS DevOps Engineer for a 6-month hybrid engagement, dedicated to supporting critical project work. The successful candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders and leverage their expertise in AWS and development practices to enhance service performance and resolve live service issues.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS using best practices.
- Implement monitoring solutions to ensure proactive service health checks.
- Collaborate with teams to resolve application bugs and performance discrepancies.
- Assist in the investigation of service incidents and provide client support.
- Utilize programming knowledge in Java, .NET, JavaScript, or Python to enhance deployment processes.
- Engage with clients to facilitate issue resolution and effective communication.
Requirements
- Proven experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, RDS, DocumentDB, and CloudWatch.
- Strong knowledge of at least one programming language (Java, .NET (C#), JavaScript (Node), or Python (Django)).
- Client-facing experience with a focus on issue investigation and resolution.
- Experience in proactive monitoring of live services.
- Familiarity with Jenkins is a plus; Scala knowledge is desirable but not required.
