Overview
As a Business Analyst focused on the public sector, you will work with a dynamic team at a Cardiff consultancy to deliver impactful software solutions for various public bodies like councils and educational institutions. In this role, you will engage with clients to understand their requirements and translate them into actionable tasks for engineering teams. Your work will involve constant collaboration across multiple projects, ensuring that public services benefit from efficient and innovative technology solutions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct discovery and requirements workshops with public sector clients.
- Map current processes and propose improvements.
- Write user stories, acceptance criteria, and maintain prioritized backlogs.
- Collaborate closely with .NET engineers and designers.
- Assist in shaping bids and tenders based on client needs.
- Support testing phases while ensuring accessibility and data protection compliance.
- Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in the public sector, especially with local government, education, NHS, or central government.
- Solid background as a Business Analyst in digital or software delivery environments.
- Strong skills in requirements gathering, process mapping, and Agile methodologies.
- Confidence in leading workshops and interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
- Technical familiarity for effective collaboration with developers on APIs and integrations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently in a dynamic setting.
- Knowledge of AI concepts is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Experience with bid or tender preparation is a plus.
