Overview
The Technical Product Owner will provide essential technical leadership and product ownership for a cloud-based platform crucial to supporting long-term legislative and business objectives. Working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, the successful candidate will drive product strategy, manage the platform roadmap, and facilitate continuous improvement. This role involves engaging with both technical and operational teams within an established delivery structure.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of platform strategy and roadmap.
- Collaborate closely with technical, operational, and business stakeholders.
- Manage backlog prioritization and ensure timely delivery outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for product and services.
- Engage with Agile delivery teams to facilitate product-led development.
- Oversee technical designs and architecture decisions for optimal performance.
- Support the operation and enhancement of business-critical platforms and services.
- Utilize data-driven insights to inform product prioritization and service improvements.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Technical Product Owner in cloud-first environments.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, including EKS and relevant platform services.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Terragrunt) and CI/CD tools (Git, Helm, ArgoCD).
- Good understanding of Kubernetes and microservices architecture.
- Experience with AWS RDS, Aurora, MySQL or MariaDB.
- Strong grasp of cloud security and governance standards (NCSC, NIST, OWASP, CIS).
- Ability to read and challenge technical designs and code solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management experience across technical and non-technical teams.
