Overview
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join a dynamic team on a contract basis, focusing on the development of a business-critical application. This role requires providing technical leadership within a small team while engaging directly with stakeholders to create effective technical solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both backend and frontend technologies and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and enhancement of backend services using Go (Golang) and TypeScript.
- Build and maintain frontend applications using React and JavaScript.
- Design, develop, and maintain APIs and integrations.
- Work with PostgreSQL databases and existing application architectures.
- Support applications hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Contribute to deployment processes and infrastructure using Google Cloud Build and Terraform.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and improve application performance and reliability.
- Provide technical direction and support to other developers.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Go (Golang).
- Excellent TypeScript development skills with experience in React and JavaScript.
- Experience building backend services and working with REST APIs.
- Strong SQL database experience, ideally with PostgreSQL.
- Commercial experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Ability to provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactive, solutions-focused approach and ability to work autonomously.
