Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Product Owner to join a dynamic team within the public sector. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and mentorship while supporting and maintaining a newly implemented platform, aligning with legislative and long-term business needs. This hybrid role encourages collaboration with existing team members as well as interaction with stakeholders to drive product outcomes and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead teams in designing, implementing, and supporting IT infrastructure solutions.
- Take ownership of product issues and proactively identify potential complications to enhance user outcomes.
- Advise on technological advancements to inform product development and opportunities.
- Engage in coding and scripting tasks to interact with software components.
- Manage product outcomes through data-driven decision-making and advocacy.
- Represent product management in discussions with senior stakeholders, protecting team focus and direction.
- Develop and maintain a strategic vision and roadmap for products while engaging with cross-departmental teams.
- Build and manage long-term strategic relationships with stakeholders, ensuring effective communication on product strategies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Technical Product Owner in IT and infrastructure environments.
- Strong understanding of AWS architecture including technologies like Kubernetes on AWS EKS.
- Experience with MySQL-compatible databases such as RDS and Aurora.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and tools like Helm, Terragrunt, Git, and ArgoCD.
- In-depth knowledge of government cloud security standards (NIST, OWASP, CIS, NCSC).
- Strong proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as BASH and Python.
- Demonstrated experience with RESTful microservices and IT service management principles.
- Ability to translate strategic vision into actionable product roadmaps.
