Overview
The Senior Product Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the product direction for a new workforce management platform aimed at enhancing the management of a large, distributed contractor workforce. This position offers high autonomy and requires someone skilled in transforming complex operational challenges into clear, actionable product strategies. The contractor will lead discovery efforts to streamline and enhance workforce processes, ultimately delivering a practical roadmap for implementation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the discovery process to identify user and stakeholder requirements.
- Conduct current and future-state process mapping.
- Develop clear business and product requirements based on findings.
- Evaluate potential vendors and platforms for integration.
- Formulate a justified recommendation for build vs buy options.
- Define the prioritised scope for a Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
- Create a detailed product roadmap and delivery plan.
- Facilitate alignment with existing systems and operational processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Product Manager with a track record of leading product discovery.
- Familiarity with contractor or workforce management platforms.
- Experience in marketplace, gig economy, or distributed workforce solutions.
- Background in workforce onboarding, compliance, or credential management.
- Knowledge of self-service portals and operational workflow automation.
- Ability to conduct build-vs-buy assessments and vendor evaluations.
- Experience with integrating CRM, recruitment, and finance systems.
- Demonstrated capability to translate ambiguous problems into executable product strategies.
