Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Solution Architect to lead data architecture efforts for a major reinsurance technology transformation project. This 12-month contract role offers a hybrid working arrangement with 2-3 days onsite each week. You will collaborate closely with senior architecture leadership and a project delivery team to shape the data architecture and integration strategy using technologies such as Azure and Databricks.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop data architecture solutions for a ceded reinsurance implementation.
- Support integration of CenataSure with existing data platforms and business systems.
- Design scalable data solutions utilizing Azure and Databricks.
- Define data integration patterns, data flows, and overall solution architecture.
- Collaborate with business analysts, project stakeholders, and external technology vendors during discovery and delivery phases.
- Translate complex reinsurance business requirements into technical designs.
- Provide architectural guidance on data migration, transformation, and integration.
- Ensure solutions conform to enterprise architecture standards and strategic objectives.
Requirements
- Strong experience as a Data Solution Architect or Data Architect, particularly in complex data transformation.
- Excellent knowledge of Azure and Databricks in enterprise data environments.
- Prior experience in reinsurance, focusing on ceded/outwards reinsurance or the Lloyd's/London Market.
- Solid understanding of data integration, data modeling, and solution architecture.
- Experience designing data solutions with multiple platforms and complex system integrations.
- Proven track record in discovery, solution design, and implementation.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including working with external technology vendors.
- Familiarity with reinsurance data processes, such as premiums and claims handling.
