Overview
We are seeking a Principal AI Consultant to enhance our AI delivery capabilities within a leading financial institution. In this contract role, you will influence the architectural design and implementation of enterprise AI solutions focused on AI-powered trading recommendations, collaborating with business stakeholders and engineering teams. This is a hands-on position that requires strong technical leadership and expertise in navigating the complexities of a regulated financial environment.
Responsibilities
- Shape and deliver next-generation enterprise AI solutions for trading recommendations.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to define project requirements and technical direction.
- Lead technical decisions and oversee the implementation of AI systems into production.
- Ensure all solutions comply with governance, validation, and model-risk requirements.
- Conduct hands-on technical work in Python and machine learning.
- Engage with senior stakeholders to convey project progress and challenges.
- Monitor and validate AI models to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in commercial engineering or data science.
- Strong expertise in Python, machine learning, and feature engineering.
- Proven track record of taking AI/ML systems into production.
- Experience with large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and AI orchestration.
- Knowledge of model validation, explainability, monitoring, and enterprise governance.
- Experience in capital markets, trading, or Tier-1 banking is highly desirable.
- Ability to lead technical discussions and manage ambiguous requirements effectively.
