Overview
The Senior Data Engineer will join a rapidly growing HealthTech start-up to design and deliver AI-enabled document processing pipelines using Snowflake Cortex. Collaborating closely with the CEO and CTO, the contractor will facilitate the extraction of insights from unstructured healthcare data, ensuring that solutions meet compliance and governance standards.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable data pipelines in Snowflake (Snowpipes).
- Develop cloud-native data platforms on AWS and Snowflake.
- Build resilient document ingestion pipelines for healthcare data.
- Create ETL frameworks to transform raw clinical data into analytics-ready datasets.
- Ensure solutions are secure and compliant with GDPR and healthcare data governance standards.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python with experience in delivering modern cloud-based data platforms.
- Significant enterprise-level experience with Snowflake.
- Strong data engineering skills within AWS, preferably with Glue.
- Experience handling sensitive data and knowledge of GDPR and healthcare compliance frameworks is a plus.
- Relevant HealthTech or MedTech experience is desirable.
- Familiarity with Snowflake Cortex and holding Snowpro or AWS Certifications is a bonus.
