Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect to lead the modernization of our data architecture, making it suitable for future AI-driven innovations. This role involves direct collaboration with the CTO, where you will take ownership of both the strategic direction and the implementation of a scalable data architecture. The position requires a strong foundation in data architecture principles and the ability to assess and transform existing systems to enhance data accessibility.
Responsibilities
- Review the existing data landscape to identify architectural gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Design a modern, scalable data architecture that integrates legacy systems and improves data consumption.
- Develop an API-first approach to ensure secure and efficient data access across multiple applications.
- Assess the organization's readiness for AI and explore relevant technologies such as vector databases.
- Create a clear technical roadmap that translates architectural recommendations into practical delivery milestones.
- Collaborate closely with the CTO to influence technical strategy and make key architectural decisions.
- Engage with customers to understand their requirements and articulate solutions effectively.
- Introduce innovative approaches and AI-enabled capabilities to support ongoing data evolution.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Senior Data Architect, particularly in complex data environments.
- Proven ability to assess existing data estates and translate findings into actionable architectural strategies.
- Hands-on knowledge of AI-ready data architectures, including vector databases and retrieval technologies.
- Strong background in modernizing legacy data platforms through consolidation, integration, and restructuring.
- Excellent understanding of API-first architecture and designing data solutions for multiple consumers.
- Experience managing the full architectural lifecycle from initial assessment to implementation.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, particularly with senior technology leaders and customers.
- A pragmatic and adaptable approach to evolving requirements and incremental delivery.
