Overview
The Technology Operations Manager will be responsible for developing and overseeing the technology operations function within a rapidly growing fintech bank. This role demands close collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure high standards of service and user experience while effectively managing technology resources and suppliers. The position requires a proactive approach to technology operations, focusing on scalability and risk management as the business evolves.
Responsibilities
- Lead the IT service desk and technology operations team, establishing service quality standards.
- Manage endpoint management, device standards, and end-user technology.
- Collaborate with the security team to implement endpoint hardening and vulnerability remediation.
- Oversee the technology processes for joiners, movers, and leavers to ensure seamless access management.
- Manage technology suppliers and service providers to ensure reliable service and value.
- Contribute to the technology risk and controls framework, supporting audits.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across various teams.
- Enhance tooling, automation, and processes for scalable operations as the business grows.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading an IT service desk or technology operations team in a regulated environment, preferably in financial services or fintech.
- Strong knowledge of endpoint management, identity and access management, and modern workplace technology such as Microsoft 365, Intune, and Entra ID.
- Experience working with security teams on patching, hardening, and vulnerability management.
- Demonstrable experience in managing third-party suppliers and service providers.
- Understanding of IT risk, controls, and audit requirements in a regulated business.
- Hands-on approach with the ability to work closely with senior stakeholders.
- Strong communication and team leadership skills.
