Overview
The Data Architect will work on the implementation and expansion of the data platform architecture for higher education, focusing specifically on MS Fabric and Purview. This part-time position allows the contractor to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to develop data principles and standards. The role is remote and designed for a 6-month contract, requiring a deep understanding of data architecture and management.
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and expansion of data platform architecture using MS Fabric and Purview.
- Provide architectural oversight and guidance to develop data principles and standards.
- Assist in the foundational development of Data Dictionaries.
- Offer expert guidance on data modelling, management, lineage, integration, and governance.
- Communicate effectively with senior technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Architect, particularly in higher education settings.
- Expertise in MS Fabric and Purview.
- Strong understanding of data architecture frameworks, data design, and modelling.
- Familiarity with PowerBI, MS SQL, Oracle Database, SAP Business Objects, and API Management is a plus.
- Ability to define technical data principles and capture data lineage.
