Overview
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer with expertise in Vue.js, TypeScript, Python, and PHP for a six-month contract role. The successful candidate will take ownership of critical applications within a collaborative and autonomous team, transforming AI-generated prototypes into secure and reliable production software. This position offers the opportunity to work on both frontend and backend development, influencing the architecture and delivery of a growing portfolio of applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Vue.js, TypeScript, Python, and PHP.
- Take technical ownership of applications across their full lifecycle, from requirements through to deployment and support.
- Build and maintain complex REST APIs and integrations between internal systems and third-party services.
- Refactor and modernise existing applications, including legacy JavaScript and Angular components.
- Implement automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring, security, and coding standards.
- Work independently across frontend and backend development while managing delivery effectively.
- Contribute to the design and development of secure, scalable, and maintainable production releases from AI-generated prototypes.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Vue.js and TypeScript, ideally with Vue 3.
- Substantial experience with Python and/or PHP in backend development.
- Extensive experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
- Strong relational database experience with PostgreSQL, including data modelling and optimisation.
- Experience in developing and supporting cloud-hosted applications, particularly within AWS environments.
- Proven experience delivering and maintaining production applications across frontend and backend.
- Strong understanding of application architecture, secure coding practices, and automated testing.
