Overview
We are seeking an experienced GIS Solutions Developer to join a dynamic digital transformation programme. In this hybrid working position, you will collaborate closely with the GIS Platform Team and various stakeholders to design and deliver innovative public-facing GIS applications and services using the Esri technology stack. This hands-on technical role focuses on developing enterprise GIS solutions that are secure, scalable, and efficient.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and development of a strategic GIS digital platform.
- Build and configure public-facing applications using ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Hub, ArcGIS Experience Builder, ArcGIS Dashboards, and Survey123.
- Develop GIS services, integrations, automation, and data management processes.
- Gather and translate business requirements into scalable GIS solutions.
- Implement automated data flows and integrations with enterprise systems.
- Support testing, deployment, defect resolution, and production releases.
- Produce technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials.
- Provide technical leadership and GIS expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience across the Esri platform, including ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS REST APIs.
- Proven Python development and automation skills.
- Experience developing public-facing GIS applications and web platforms.
- Good understanding of GIS security, permissions, and governance.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to varied audiences.
- Experience producing technical documentation and development standards.
