Overview
We are seeking an Azure DevOps Engineer for a 3-month remote contract with a prominent UK-based legal organization. The successful candidate will work closely with the Applications and Development team, focusing on automation initiatives, platform reliability, and the migration and optimization of applications in Azure cloud environments. This role offers flexibility, with occasional travel to the Birmingham office for team collaboration and alignment.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable Azure infrastructure and platform services.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to enhance deployment processes.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and automation tools for consistent provisioning.
- Support the migration and modernization of applications to Azure cloud environments.
- Enhance monitoring, logging, and observability to improve system reliability.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize workflows and automate manual tasks.
- Proactively troubleshoot infrastructure and performance issues to ensure high availability.
- Ensure compliance with security and disaster recovery best practices in all environments.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Azure DevOps Engineer with a strong background in cloud-native development.
- Expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure infrastructure.
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Familiarity with application migration from on-premise to Azure.
- Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and cloud security principles.
