Overview
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a prestigious investment banking client on a largely remote, 12-month contract. The successful candidate will work closely with front-office traders to deliver tactical solutions and enhancements for trading tools, focusing on immediate business needs and supporting quick development cycles in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop tactical enhancements and fixes for front-office trader tools.
- Collaborate with traders to identify issues and deliver practical solutions.
- Support Securities Lending and potentially other trading desks as required.
- Troubleshoot and enhance existing applications based on user feedback.
- Balance the speed of delivery with maintainable and tested code.
- Implement improvements based on changing priorities and immediate business needs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in C#, Python, and Excel development.
- Background in front-office RAD or tactical development.
- Strong problem-solving skills with quick thinking and pragmatism.
- Ability to work independently and manage changing priorities.
- Experience in supporting and enhancing existing applications.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg API/BPIPE, C# WPF, and SQL Server is a plus.
