Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead and CA Gen Developer to spearhead a major Mainframe-to-Cloud transformation programme over an initial 12-month contract. In this role, you will provide technical expertise and leadership, working with legacy Mainframe applications and overseeing their migration to Cloud environments. Collaboration with various stakeholders is essential, as you will drive modernization efforts utilizing technologies such as COBOL, CA Gen, and Java.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical aspects of the Mainframe-to-Cloud transformation programme.
- Oversee the delivery of legacy application modernization using CA Gen, COBOL, and Java.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful migration processes.
- Conduct system analysis and performance engineering for optimized solution delivery.
- Manage stakeholder communications and expectations throughout the project.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in CA Gen COBOL (Mainframe) and CA Gen Java (Cloud).
- Proven experience in Mainframe-to-Cloud migration and transformation projects.
- In-depth knowledge of COBOL, Java, DB2, IMS, JCL, and MS SQL.
- Experience in performance engineering and system analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership in complex transformation initiatives.
- Insurance industry experience is highly desirable.
