Overview
We are looking for a skilled MEICA Commissioning Engineer to join a team focused on upgrading critical water and wastewater assets within the Hampshire region. This role will involve overseeing the commissioning lifecycle of various projects, ensuring compliance with water authority standards while delivering seamless integration of new plant systems with existing assets. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams and clients to ensure high-quality outcomes across clean water and wastewater facilities.
Responsibilities
- Author and manage Project Commissioning Plans and testing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with water authority standards and WIMES regulations.
- Coordinate integration of new plant with live site assets.
- Manage and document Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
- Lead resolution of site snags and conduct performance trials.
- Establish and enforce MEICA safe systems of work across commissioning zones.
- Act as an appointed LV Electrical Authorised Person (LV EAP) when required.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in MEICA and commissioning within the UK water sector.
- Strong knowledge of pumps, switchgear, MCCs, telemetry, PLCs, chemical dosing, and filtration assets.
- Valid UK Driving Licence and CSCS/ECS Card.
- EUSR National Water Hygiene Card and SSSTS (minimum) or SMSTS (preferred).
- BS7671 (18th Edition) certification.
- Desirable: Authorised Person Low Voltage Training (AP / EAP), DSEAR / CompEx ExF certification, and First Aid at Work training.
