Overview
As a Construction Subcontract Engineer, you will play a key role in managing and improving mechanical and electrical works throughout the engineering and development phases of EPIC projects, specifically within the ENI Liverpool Bay Project focused on decommissioning and carbon capture. You will collaborate with subcontractors and the project management team to ensure compliance with subcontract administration procedures while supporting the overall goal of environmental sustainability in the energy sector.
Responsibilities
- Ensure proper implementation of subcontract administration procedures by subcontractors.
- Initiate and respond to letters and notices from subcontractors as needed.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of subcontractors.
- Review and validate progress payments submitted by subcontractors.
- Assist the project management team in identifying variations and claims affecting project timelines and forecasts.
- Analyze site technical queries and lead negotiations with subcontractors regarding cost implications.
- Manage and process extra works, claims, and closeout of subcontracts according to established procedures.
- Provide guidance to subcontractors for the correct submission of documentation related to work progress and order changes.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the Oil & Gas or Energy sectors.
- Proven experience on large construction projects, with mandatory onshore experience.
- Familiarity with subcontract administration and management processes.
- Experience in analyzing site technical queries and negotiating with subcontractors.
- Ability to support project management with forecasting and change management activities.
- Knowledge of work progress management systems, preferably Colav.
