Overview
We are seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to contribute to a dynamic financial technology project. The contractor will collaborate closely with engineering, QA, and architecture teams to shape requirements, clarify complex environments, and ensure alignment between technical solutions and business objectives. This role will involve working with stakeholders to translate their vision into structured backlog items and facilitating discussions across both technical and business groups.
Responsibilities
- Drive clarity in complex environments by shaping and aligning requirements with minimal direction.
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, and architecture teams to develop structured backlog items and deliverable stories.
- Act as the stakeholders' proxy within the team, making informed decisions on scope and prioritization.
- Define and maintain functional and non-functional requirements, including QA validation needs across workflows.
- Facilitate discussions among technical and business stakeholders to promote alignment and effective decision-making.
- Support delivery processes to ensure solutions align with business objectives and user expectations.
- Follow up during implementation to ensure output meets defined requirements and acceptance criteria.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Technical Business Analyst role within a highly technical environment, ideally financial services.
- Hands-on experience with high-performance messaging platforms such as Aeron, Kafka, or equivalent.
- Solid understanding of low-latency, high-throughput messaging infrastructure.
- Proficiency in defining and documenting both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Experience with Agile or Kanban methodologies across the software development lifecycle.
- Demonstrable ability to contribute to architecture and design discussions in complex scenarios.
- Strong skills in creating process flows, sequencing diagrams, and relevant documentation.
