Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst / Power BI Developer to join a well-established Financial Services company on a 6-month contract. The successful contractor will work in a hybrid arrangement, collaborating directly with end users to capture, refine, and translate their requirements into actionable reports and data extracts, with a strong focus on the Financial Services sector, particularly in Mortgages.
Responsibilities
- Capture and refine user requirements for data analysis and reporting.
- Translate user needs into deliverable reports and data extracts.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries and stored procedures for data manipulation.
- Utilize Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data solutions meet business objectives.
- Support end users in leveraging data insights effectively.
- Contribute to the development of reporting frameworks and tools as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or Power BI Developer.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server and ability to write SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Experience in the Financial Services industry, especially within regulated environments.
- Familiarity with Finastra Essence and MSO is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with end users to gather and document requirements.
- Expertise in Power BI for reporting and visualization.
