Overview
The Data Consultant will engage with business and technical stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into effective data solutions. This role focuses on developing enterprise-grade data products while collaborating with data architects, engineers, and governance teams. The consultant will support the delivery of these products through validation and release processes, ensuring they meet high standards and adhere to data governance principles.
Responsibilities
- Translate complex business requirements into clear data specifications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and validate data models and products.
- Support the delivery of data products through UAT and production release.
- Facilitate discussions to challenge requirements and drive project delivery.
- Ensure adherence to data governance and quality standards.
- Develop source-to-target mapping and document data lineage.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in data platforms, analytics, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of source-to-target mapping, data lineage, and semantic modeling.
- Experience in defining KPIs, metrics, facts, and dimensions.
- Solid understanding of data quality, governance, and controls.
- Proficient in SQL and/or advanced Excel.
- Familiar with OLAP, OLTP, and relational data structures.
- Experience in Agile and iterative delivery environments.
- Ability to engage confidently with technical and business stakeholders.
