Overview
The Data Engineer will be instrumental in building a new enterprise Data Warehouse on Google Cloud for a global digital marketing group. Working within a collaborative team environment, the contractor will report to the lead engineer and will be expected to contribute effectively from the beginning of the project, focusing on data integration and modeling efforts.
Responsibilities
- Build out the Data Warehouse on Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery.
- Deliver ingestion pipelines from multiple source systems.
- Implement a Medallion architecture consisting of Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.
- Develop dimensional data models to support business intelligence needs.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience with BigQuery and GCP as the primary platform.
- Proven background in data warehousing and data modeling.
- Familiarity with data ingestion processes.
- Understanding of Medallion framework principles and practices.
