Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Migration Lead to oversee the complete data migration process for a new Property Management platform. This role will involve collaborating with technical and business stakeholders to ensure the successful migration of essential data while addressing quality issues and risks. The successful contractor will play a pivotal role in strategic planning and execution during this 6-month contract position, which has a hybrid working arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end data migration workstream for a complex enterprise transformation programme.
- Define and implement the Data Migration Strategy, including extraction, cleansing, transformation, validation, testing, and cutover activities.
- Act as the subject matter expert for data migration, supporting technical and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business teams to identify and resolve data quality issues and establish governance processes.
- Work with Solution Architects and technical teams to ensure the target data model aligns with business requirements.
- Develop and maintain detailed migration plans in cooperation with Project Managers and delivery teams.
- Identify migration risks and issues, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Lead the testing and quality assurance efforts throughout the migration lifecycle.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience leading complex end-to-end data migration projects from inception to go-live.
- Familiarity with Property Management Systems such as MRI PMX, MRI Horizon, Yardi, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise applications, data architecture, system integrations, and data flows.
- Proficient in SQL and relational databases with notable data modelling experience.
- Solid understanding of data governance, data quality, and master data principles.
- Strong stakeholder management abilities with effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
