Overview
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Consultant to lead a critical six-month engagement focused on migrating on-premises services to a multi-region Azure environment. The consultant will work collaboratively with the internal team, ensuring that the migration process is efficient and secure through automation, tooling implementation, and operational readiness. This role emphasizes independent project delivery based on set milestones and defined deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver an Azure landing zone and migrate on-premises services to a multi-region Azure platform.
- Embed security controls and testing across build and release pipelines for associated services.
- Extend and harden the existing Terraform and PowerShell module library for automation.
- Automate manual build, release, and operational processes and provide reusable templates.
- Deliver monitoring, dashboards, and reporting for the migrated platforms to quickly identify issues.
- Produce operational runbooks, incident response guidance, and conduct knowledge-transfer sessions.
- Provide a written assessment of opportunities to enhance tooling, processes, and cloud costs.
Requirements
- Proven track record in delivering Azure migrations and landing zones.
- Hands-on expertise in Terraform, PowerShell, AKS, and Docker.
- Experience implementing DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipeline security.
- Strong background in designing monitoring and observability for cloud platforms.
- Ability to scope, plan, and deliver work independently against agreed outcomes.
