Overview
This long-term DevOps Engineer position is designed for a UKIC DV Cleared professional who will be involved in the development of secure web applications. The role focuses on both frontend and backend development, offering the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies while collaborating within an Agile environment. This position is ideal for individuals who are proactive learners and possess a strong foundation in secure web practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain secure web applications using frontend frameworks (Vue/React or Angular) and backend technologies (Core Java).
- Integrate and manage project components within Linux-based environments.
- Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices in version control.
- Collaborate within Agile teams to deliver software solutions.
- Utilize CI/CD processes to streamline project workflows.
- Enhance skill sets related to MongoDB, GitLab, Docker, AWS, and microservices.
- Continuously learn and adopt new software development methods and practices.
Requirements
- UKIC DV Clearance is required.
- Proven experience in developing secure web applications using Java.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
- Experience with Linux-based systems.
- Knowledge of version control systems and code review processes.
- Experience with frontend frameworks such as Vue, React, or Angular is advantageous.
- Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker) is a plus.
- A self-motivated approach to learning new technologies and development practices is essential.
