Digital Content Manager

Overview

The Digital Content Manager will lead the strategy and execution of website management and content development to effectively engage diverse audiences. Working closely with senior leadership, media teams, and stakeholders, the successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the quality and structure of both the website and staff intranet, ensuring content is consistent, accessible, and up-to-date. This role requires proactive engagement to drive internal usage and will involve regular performance reporting and optimization efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with senior management and media teams to manage and optimize website content.
  • Research and enhance web strategies to improve audience engagement.
  • Audit website activities and report using the Drupal platform.
  • Produce monthly performance reports including Google Analytics data.
  • Develop and promote the internal staff intranet for enhanced employee engagement.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure consistency and accessibility of content.
  • Establish training processes for website and intranet users.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies set by the Scottish Government.

Requirements

  • Formal qualification in digital content or significant experience in digital communications.
  • High levels of oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of digital communications and content management systems.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to manage competing demands and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • High degree of personal resilience when dealing with sensitive topics.
  • Proficient in MS 365, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
