Overview
We are seeking a Contract Electronics Engineer to contribute to the development of advanced connected instrumentation and IoT-enabled embedded systems for life sciences applications. This role requires expertise across hardware and firmware, focusing on designing reliable, low-power connected devices. The engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support the full product lifecycle, from concept to production.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop mixed-signal electronics for connected and IoT-enabled devices.
- Develop analogue front ends, sensor interfaces, and data acquisition systems.
- Define embedded hardware architecture and system partitioning.
- Integrate and interface with sensors and peripherals using common interfaces.
- Support hardware–firmware integration, debugging, validation, and board bring-up.
- Contribute to low-power and battery-operated IoT device architectures.
- Collaborate closely with teams across electronics, firmware, software, and product development.
- Support products through the development lifecycle, from proof-of-concept to production.
Requirements
- Strong professional experience in analogue and mixed-signal electronics design.
- Proven experience designing embedded hardware for connected IoT devices.
- Experience with sensor integration and data acquisition systems.
- Good understanding of embedded communications and peripheral interfaces.
- Experience with hardware/firmware integration, debugging, and system bring-up.
- Knowledge of low-power design and battery management.
- Degree or higher in Electronics, Embedded Systems, or a related engineering discipline.
