Overview
The Planner will play a critical role in supporting the construction team within the Energy from Waste sector by managing and coordinating project activities on site. This position involves collaborating with package managers and contractors to ensure timely progress and resolution of potential issues, ultimately contributing to project success over the duration of a 24-month contract. The ideal candidate will leverage their experience in Energy from Waste to deliver effective planning and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Support Package Managers with daily and weekly construction planning.
- Coordinate with contractors to monitor planned activities and commitments.
- Identify potential constraints, delays, and interface issues.
- Monitor actual progress against planned activities.
- Proactively follow up on contractor commitments and actions.
- Support the identification and resolution of issues impacting short-term delivery.
- Manage and maintain detailed project programmes using Primavera P6.
- Provide programme analysis and reporting to support project management and decision-making.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Planner in the Energy from Waste sector.
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 for project programme management.
- Ability to identify critical path impacts and potential programme risks.
- Experience in monitoring project progress and analyzing deviations against contractual programmes.
- Capacity to develop recovery plans and mitigation measures.
- Excellent coordination skills with a focus on contractor commitments.
