Overview
We are seeking an ETRM Business Analyst with expertise in the power trading sector to support a commodities and energy trading firm. The contractor will collaborate closely with stakeholders and IT teams to ensure successful business and technology deliveries while contributing to ongoing projects related to regulatory changes and new product onboarding. This role will leverage in-depth knowledge of European power markets and ETRM systems to optimize processes and support project lifecycles.
Responsibilities
- Conduct business requirements analysis and define functional specifications for changes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of business processes with IT delivery.
- Perform testing including unit, QA, and UAT to validate new systems.
- Engage with business stakeholders to document and prioritize requirements.
- Analyze and optimize existing systems within the European power trading context.
- Facilitate post-implementation reviews to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Utilize Azure DevOps to manage requirements mapping and documentation.
- Support the onboarding of new products in line with regulatory changes.
Requirements
- Demonstrable knowledge of traded derivative products for ETD and OTC.
- Proficiency in ETRM systems and related middle-back office processes.
- Strong experience in Azure DevOps for requirements management.
- Deep understanding of the European power market and its trading mechanisms.
- Ability to effectively communicate and align IT solutions with business strategies.
- Experience in conducting testing processes for new systems.
- Strong background in project lifecycle methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
