Overview
The Contract FEA Analyst will engage in structural simulations and finite element modeling for a consultancy specializing in engineering analysis. Collaborating closely with internal teams, the analyst will interpret simulation results to deliver actionable design recommendations while ensuring compliance with international standards. The role primarily focuses on managing multiple projects efficiently and producing clear technical reports to guide client decisions.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural simulations and build finite element models
- Review engineering drawings and specifications
- Set up analysis cases and load conditions
- Run simulations and interpret results
- Prepare concise technical reports for clients
- Collaborate with internal teams to clarify requirements and support design optimization
- Ensure analyses align with relevant international standards and best practices
- Maintain accurate documentation for all analyses undertaken
Requirements
- Strong skills in finite element analysis, including model setup, meshing, and post-processing
- Applied engineering analysis skills to international design codes such as Eurocode 3
- Proficiency with Solidworks Simulation & Solidworks CAD or Abaqus CAE
- Ability to create Mathcad calculation reports
- Experience in nuclear, oil and gas, or building services industries preferred
- Must be based in the UK and 100% work from home
- Must have a capable workstation or laptop for FEA & CAD tools or be willing to purchase one
