Overview
The Finance Lead will play a pivotal role in a major ERP transformation project for a global travel client, focusing on creating a unified operating model and implementing a cloud-based ERP platform. This role involves close collaboration with the Finance Director, senior stakeholders, and consulting partners to design the future finance operating model, including financial structures, controls, and processes. The ideal candidate will be a fluent French speaker with extensive experience in finance transformation and strong stakeholder management skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead finance process and target operating-model design.
- Own the design of the chart of accounts, legal entities, intercompany accounting, consolidation, and financial close.
- Define finance controls, statutory requirements, and compliance frameworks.
- Validate finance baselines and business case assumptions.
- Represent Finance in fit-to-standard workshops and challenge unnecessary process customization.
- Support data migration planning and the implementation partner tender.
- Identify opportunities for finance automation and straight-through processing.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant: ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
- 12+ years’ finance experience, including financial control or transformation in multi-entity groups.
- Proven experience leading an ERP selection or implementation from design through to go-live.
- Strong expertise in chart-of-accounts design, consolidation, multi-currency accounting, and financial controls.
- Knowledge of IFRS, including IFRS 18, and UK or Belgian GAAP.
- Experience working client-side alongside consulting firms on finance transformation.
- Fluent English and business-level French or above.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to challenge consultants and systems integrators.
