Overview
The Interim Senior FP&A / Finance Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting a leading international data consultancy during a period of significant transformation. Reporting directly to the Interim CFO, this position involves the development of a comprehensive three-year financial plan, focused on creating investor-grade budgets and forecasts. The analyst will collaborate with various stakeholders to streamline financial processes and provide essential insights for management and private equity investors.
Responsibilities
- Build and own the new financial planning model following the carve-out.
- Develop three-year plans, annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial models.
- Create integrated P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow planning models.
- Conduct scenario analysis and develop sensitivities and driver-based financial models.
- Consolidate financial information across multiple systems, including Sage and SAP.
- Partner with stakeholders to challenge inputs and translate incomplete data into robust financial models.
- Produce investor-grade planning outputs for senior leadership and private equity stakeholders.
- Drive improvements to planning processes and financial modelling capability.
Requirements
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified with approximately 5+ years post-qualified experience.
- Proven experience in building budgets, forecasts, and financial planning models from scratch.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modelling, with excellent modelling discipline.
- Experience in developing integrated three-statement financial models.
- Ability to navigate and consolidate information from multiple systems and international data sources.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and incomplete information.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to challenge assumptions.
- Experience in private equity-backed environments, particularly with carve-outs or transformations, is highly desirable.
