Overview
The Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor (QS) is a pivotal role within the infrastructure division of a rapidly growing company in the construction and civil engineering sector. This position involves overseeing the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects, ensuring effective cost management, subcontract management, and commercial reporting. Responsibilities
- Manage cost variance reports (CVRs) for infrastructure schemes.
- Oversee cost management and subcontract administration.
- Conduct change management processes effectively.
- Prepare and submit monthly valuations and commercial reports.
- Lead and mentor a small team of commercial personnel.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure project delivery alignment.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior QS in civil engineering or infrastructure.
- Experience working with main contractors in relevant sectors.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in commercial management processes.
- Valid UK driver's licence required.
