Overview
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Java Developer to join a growing telematics technology business for a compelling long-term project. This fully remote role will involve collaboration with an engineering team focused on innovative, cloud-based solutions, utilizing modern tools and practices. The selected candidate will engage with a variety of technologies including Java, Micronaut, Kafka, and Angular, contributing to scalable, event-driven applications.
Responsibilities
- Develop scalable, event-driven applications using Java and Micronaut.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to implement modern cloud solutions.
- Integrate data streaming technologies, particularly Kafka, into applications.
- Utilize Angular for front-end development and enhance user experience.
- Employ AI-assisted coding tools to improve development efficiency.
- Participate in code reviews and adhere to best engineering practices.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Java programming.
- Proficiency in Micronaut; strong Spring Boot experience is also acceptable.
- Experience with data streaming technologies like Kafka.
- Solid Angular development skills.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools, particularly Claude Code.
- Knowledge of Terraform and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
