Overview
We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Purview Engineer with a strong focus on Data Governance and Data Catalog solutions. The successful candidate will work extensively with Microsoft Purview, Azure DevOps, and related technologies, providing hands-on technical implementation and operational support across development and production environments. This role emphasizes automation, configuration management, and ensuring optimal performance of the Microsoft Purview platform.
Responsibilities
- Implement and manage Microsoft Purview environments through configuration and administration.
- Design and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments.
- Configure, support, and improve data governance, metadata management, and data lineage solutions.
- Integrate various datasets with Microsoft Purview using custom APIs and connectors.
- Monitor production deployments for health and performance, identifying optimization opportunities.
- Document configurations, processes, and operational guidelines for knowledge sharing.
- Support troubleshooting of platform issues and perform root cause analysis as required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering.
- At least 3 years of experience implementing and supporting Microsoft Purview.
- Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline creation.
- Proficiency with API integration and configuration of custom metadata connectors.
- Experience in production support roles within Agile delivery teams.
- Familiarity with data governance principles and metadata management practices.
- Desirable experience with Microsoft Fabric and various data cataloging tools such as Informatica.
