Overview
We are seeking a Head of Data Engineering to lead a data engineering function focused on Microsoft Fabric for a growing technology consultancy. This hands-on leadership role involves setting the technical direction and shaping the data engineering capabilities while collaborating with senior stakeholders and delivery teams. The successful candidate will bring extensive Microsoft Fabric experience and a strong background in leading data engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the data engineering function with a focus on Microsoft Fabric.
- Set the technical direction and establish engineering standards and best practices.
- Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders and delivery teams.
- Define and implement data architecture strategies.
- Provide hands-on guidance and support to data engineering teams when necessary.
- Ensure alignment with the Azure / Microsoft data ecosystem.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and clients.
Requirements
- Proven experience in leading data engineering teams and functions.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and Azure data ecosystem.
- Comfortable defining architecture and engineering standards.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and clients.
- Ability to engage in detailed technical discussions as needed.
- Immediate availability for a contract opportunity is preferred.
