Overview
We are seeking an experienced IBM DataStage Engineer to support a major data transformation initiative focused on the migration and modernization of enterprise data platforms. In this role, the engineer will be instrumental in the extraction, transformation, and migration of data from a sizeable data warehouse environment while collaborating closely with a team of data professionals. The position combines both hands-on engineering responsibilities and technical expertise in ETL development, data integration, and SQL.
Responsibilities
- Develop ETL solutions using IBM DataStage for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Support and maintain existing ETL processes within a complex data landscape.
- Collaborate with teams to migrate data from large scale data warehouse environments.
- Utilize strong SQL skills for data manipulation and analysis.
- Engage in the migration of data from Netezza while supporting integration with Cognos environments as needed.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in data handling and quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in IBM DataStage ETL development, support, and maintenance.
- Strong proficiency in SQL development and data manipulation.
- Experience in Azure Data Factory and its integration with ETL processes.
- Previous involvement in large scale data migration projects.
- Desirable experience with Netezza and Cognos technologies will be advantageous.
