Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect for a 6-month contract in a major cloud transformation programme. The successful candidate will collaborate with a team to design and deliver secure, scalable cloud infrastructure, primarily using Azure, while applying modern cloud engineering practices. This role will involve a mix of remote work and required on-site presence near Cardiff, especially in the initial stages of the contract.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure and scalable Azure cloud infrastructures.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform.
- Apply Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) best practices.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates on project progress.
- Contribute to cloud transformation initiatives within the organization.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Azure cloud architecture and infrastructure design.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, especially with Terraform.
- Experienced in DevOps practices, including CI/CD tooling.
- Eligible for or currently hold SC Clearance (or recently lapsed).
- Experience working in secure or regulated environments.
