Overview
We are looking for an experienced M365 Infrastructure Engineer to support a program of mergers and acquisitions, focusing on Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations, post-acquisition integrations, and consolidation of IT environments. The contractor will work closely with various teams to ensure seamless transitions and alignment of IT systems across multiple business entities, while also traveling to different sites as required.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations as part of M&A and business integration programmes.
- Plan and execute the migration and consolidation of Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams environments.
- Support post-acquisition IT integration, including tenant consolidation, identity alignment, and domain migrations.
- Assess existing M365 environments and develop migration strategies, plans, and cutover procedures.
- Manage user, mailbox, data, and endpoint transitions between source and target environments.
- Configure and manage Microsoft Intune and SCCM/MECM to support device migration and endpoint standardisation.
- Support Microsoft Entra ID integration and authentication and access management.
- Troubleshoot migration issues to ensure a smooth transition for end users.
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations.
- Strong background in M&A IT integration and post-merger infrastructure consolidation.
- Hands-on expertise across Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams migrations.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, identity, and domain migration.
- Practical experience with Microsoft Intune and SCCM/MECM, including endpoint migration and management.
- Experience planning migration waves, cutovers, testing, and post-migration support.
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced integration programmes.
- Flexibility to travel nationwide across the UK.
