Overview
The Interim Finance Transformation Director will lead a critical 9-month assignment within a complex, international FTSE 250 organization, focusing on optimizing the global Finance operating model and enhancing its scalability and standardization. Working closely with the CFO and senior leadership team, this role emphasizes assessing current finance practices and developing an actionable roadmap to drive transformation, thereby maximizing prior investments in technology and systems.
Responsibilities
- Assess the existing Finance operating model and develop a clear roadmap for its evolution.
- Establish a robust baseline across cost, FTE, activity, process, and location.
- Review the balance between embedded Finance, Centres of Excellence, and Global Business Services/Shared Services.
- Identify opportunities to centralize and optimize transactional Finance activities.
- Drive greater global standardization across core Finance processes like P2P, O2C, and R2R.
- Develop the transformation business case, benefits case, and investment requirements.
- Create a practical, sequenced implementation and migration roadmap.
- Secure alignment with CFO, executive leadership, and international stakeholders for the transformation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in leading enterprise-scale Finance Transformation initiatives.
- Significant expertise in designing and implementing Finance Target Operating Models.
- Direct experience with Global Business Services and Shared Service Centre optimization.
- Strong knowledge of global Finance processes, specifically P2P, O2C, and R2R.
- Ability to establish baselines and develop transformation business cases for actionable programs.
- Experience in identifying opportunities for simplification, automation, and AI integration.
- Credibility in engaging with CFOs, Executive Committees, and Board-level stakeholders.
- Experience in multinational and complex corporate environments is highly advantageous.
