Overview
The Interim Senior Financial Accountant will play a crucial role within a large and complex UK organization, supporting the finance team through a key reporting period. Working closely with senior finance stakeholders, the contractor will manage statutory account preparations, oversee financial statement consolidation, and coordinate external audit processes, leveraging their strong technical accounting skills in a multi-entity environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead statutory accounts preparation and year-end reporting activities.
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements.
- Manage and coordinate external audit processes.
- Deliver high-quality technical accounting support and advice.
- Support improvements to financial reporting processes and controls.
- Build strong relationships across the wider finance function and senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- ACA/ACCA qualified accountant.
- Strong statutory accounting and financial reporting experience.
- Proven consolidation experience within larger, complex organizations.
- Confident in managing external audit relationships.
- Advanced Excel skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience operating within sizeable corporate, public sector, or complex organizational environments.
