Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist for a hybrid contract role focused on transitioning machine learning capabilities from prototype to production. The successful candidate will work closely with commercial teams and contribute to B2B outbound sales campaigns by leveraging data insights. This hands-on position emphasizes practical application over research, aiming to establish scalable machine learning processes.
Responsibilities
- Define clean, modelling-ready datasets and establish robust validation processes.
- Train and optimize machine learning models across multiple B2B datasets.
- Build scoring outputs, reporting, and visualizations for commercial teams.
- Retrain, test, and refine models against live data as volumes scale.
- Collaborate with CRM and SDR teams to integrate model outputs into daily operations.
- Help establish processes and infrastructure for scalable machine learning.
Requirements
- Proven experience in taking machine learning models from prototype to production.
- Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, and Vertex AI.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience with feature engineering, statistical validation, and model evaluation.
- Ability to work with imperfect real-world data.
- Effective communication skills for explaining model outputs to both technical and commercial audiences.
- Experience in B2B sales, outbound, CRM, or conversation intelligence data is a bonus but not essential.
