Overview
We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join a dynamic and experienced development team responsible for critical software applications. This hybrid contract position involves hands-on development and troubleshooting with C#, .NET, and SQL Server, ensuring the effective operation of business systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve technical issues, facilitating the flow of data across various platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications using C#, .NET, and SQL Server.
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues across application and database layers.
- Work with complex relational and transactional data.
- Understand data flows between different systems and identify underlying issues.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and solve problems.
- Take ownership of technical issues, driving them through to resolution.
- Contribute to improving the resilience and maintainability of existing systems.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with C# and modern .NET frameworks.
- Proficient in SQL Server, with the ability to handle complex data.
- Experience in developing or supporting business-critical applications.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting skills across both code and databases.
- Understanding of business processes behind technical systems.
- Ability to work effectively within a small development team.
- Experience with PowerShell and Azure Data Factory is advantageous.
